Cape-Able Community

A space to connect with people who think like you and receive the support, accountability and confidence to achieve your professional and personal goals!

What if there was a way for you to connect with like-minded people, facing the same struggles you face in your workplace, business, home or simply just managing the day to day life?

As an adult with learning disabilities and/or ADHD it’s pretty frustrating and isolating knowing that not everyone around you really understands how you think or what you struggle with on the inside.

With the Cape-able Community, we are here to build each other up through community, support and education. We find partners in accountability, learn and discover new ways to organize and build consistency and always remind you of your strengths and all that you are cape-able.

Our Pillars

Community

Connecting with fellow neurodivergent people can feel like a safe space to be yourself. It can be really validating to feel heard and validated especially in a world that doesn’t think the same way we do. Being a part of a community gives you a place to connect with other people who you might not have met IRL but can support you wherever you are.

Support

It’s one thing to say “I’m here for you” but it’s another to actually be there. Through our different supports, we show up for each other and help one another through our struggles.

Confidence

With all of the negative words attributed to ADHD and/or learning disabilities, it’s no surprise that many don't feel confident when it comes to achieving our goals. We are here to build you up, highlight your strengths and remind you of all you are cape-able of.

Consistency

One of the biggest challenges many of us face is staying consistent. We look for ways to reframe the approach to make it easier to reach our goals based on how we uniquely think and learn.

This community is for you if:

  • You’re an adult officially or unofficially diagnosed with ADHD, Executive Dysfunction and/or learning disabilities or chronically overwhelmed with your to-do lists.

  • You feel like you could get so much more done in your day if you just had people to hold you accountable.

  • You know you’re smart but you’re having a hard time staying organized, productive and on top of your goals.

  • You want great learning strategies that support your line of thinking and are tailored for you to succeed.

  • You’re tired of your co-workers or those around you not understanding the way you think and operate and you just want to be around people who do!

  • Our founder and ADHD Coach, Alex Gilbert runs this community. Alex was diagnosed at 8 years old with dyslexia and ADHD and spent her career working in leadership development. She always lead programs through a different lens and it was a natural progression to start a consulting and coaching business to help other adults with learning disabilities and/or ADHD who have been struggling in their careers. She understands we don’t just flip a light switch on and off when it comes to struggling with these disabilities and will help you feel supported no matter where you are in your journey.
